KALA Health, Inc. is a fast growing company that specializes in the manufacture and distribution of dietary supplements for people and their pets. Each member of the KALA Health Team has built a reputation of excellence. Our manufacturing plant and fulfillment center are located in northern CA. Product manufacturing takes place in accordance with cGMP regulations. In addition to our US and Canadian sales offices throughout the US (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Washington and Idaho), products are distributed through our European sister company, Kala Health International, bv, located in The Hague, The Netherlands, and through our Asian sister company, Kala Health, Asia, located in Singapore. Additional distribution centers are located in Malaysia, Thailand, Latvia and Australia. The goal of KALA Health is to provide its customers with the best health care products and ingredients on the market. We source our products exclusively, whenever possible, in the USA. We pledge to never buy cheap Chinese substitute ingredients. If you are not completely satisfied with our product(s), please email us and let us know. About Our Founders
KALA Health, Inc. was founded in 1997 as a manufacturer and distributor of natural health products by Ronald Breteler, Ph.D., President of Kala Health, Inc., and his cousin, Ir. Paul Klein Breteler, Director of Kala Health International, bv.
Born and educated in the Netherlands, Canada and the USA, Dr. Breteler spent the first twelve years of his career conducting research across four continents, and has publishing over 50 scientific research papers. He has been an active business leader since 1980. Ir. Paul Klein Breteler has practices naturopathic medicine since 1970, and is a recognized expert of dietary supplement ingredients, their benefits and mode of action. Dr. Breteler and Ir. Klein Breteler’ s vision for the company was to become a global leader in the world of solution-based nutraceuticals products for both the human and pet health market. In order to do this, they assembled a world-class team of nutritionist, human health and veterinary health professionals.
Dr. James StClair, a well-known veterinarian and expert on dog joint rehabilitation and founder of "The Dog Health Network" joined Kala Health, Inc. in 2010. Since 2003, Dr. J has been an outspoken voice for dogs health with a core focus on pet owner education. Dr. StClair also owns and operates a small animal practice in central CT. During the past ten years, KALA Health's reputation as a quality manufacturer of chewable supplements for pets has attracted many leading pet product distributors in the US and abroad for whom KALA Health now produces private label products. This program significantly expanded our distribution network, while at the same time allowing other companies in the pet industry to produce safe and healthy products with the KALA Health quality and standards. We are devoted to continually look for novel and beneficial ingredients and formulations to foster and promote maximum pet health. With our dedication to quality, selective use of pharmaceutical grade ingredients and proven track record of beneficial products with extraordinary palatability and ease of administration, KALA Health continues to grow.
